Leodis Grotesque, 2024
Leodis Grotesque is a characterful, gritty and proud display typeface inspired by the bold 19th century letterforms of Northern England. The square constraints of the characters creates a dynamic and diverse typeface that shapes a contemporary twist on the traditional grotesques it draws on.

The painted specimen uses words from
an early 20th century poem, A Dalesman’s Litany, by F.W. Moorman. The poem tells the story of a Yorkshireman who leaves his country home to work in the city factories for the benefit of his family, despite his yearn to return to the countryside.
